India Holidays, Pack Your Bags And Visit Magical Goa

Have you ever thought of holidaying in India, many people have, but it is a very far land and can be strange as well as completely different. If you are the adventurous type, India holidays could be perfect for you.
India cannot be rivaled for its spell-binding scenery, there is such a wide diversity of this that wherever you go the eco systems and terrain is different. Why not see the Himalayas from the Indian point of view, or visit the deserts to the west. Evergreen forest in the Southern part of the country are a sight for sore eyes and treat yourself with a visit to the pearl of the orient; Goa.
If you want to visit a travelers’ paradise, you won’t do much better than Goa. The Indian peninsula is 6 700 kilometers long and many people say that Goa is the best part of all this. The area has the most exquisite natural beauty, golden sandy beaches, fantastic seas, forested hills, you name it, you will find it in a paradise like Goa.
The Portuguese like to claim that they discovered Goa, and perhaps they did for the western world, but before Portuguese explorers came to Goa, there were naturalized peoples living there. Anyhow these intrepid explorers liked Goa so much they colonized it and they spent 450 years ruling it, so Mediterranean culture mingles alongside Indian culture and this makes it unique.
Narrow streets and red tiled roofs feature, giving Goa that look of the Mediterranean, but the food belies this and the most delicious vindaloo, tandoori and rice can be found. Make no mistake you will also find chourisso, no Portuguese colony worth its salt would not leave behind their legacy in the form of this spicy sausage.
For the very best in customer service and hospitality the Goan’s cannot be beaten. The food is fabulous, accommodations fantastic and you can even find a local port wine. The best drink to my mind is feni, which is a combination of coconut and cashew. Strangely enough, or perhaps not so strange, is that a similar drink is served in Brazil, another country which was colonized by the Portuguese.
